Sunday, 4.20.08- Kingsway Christian Church
Recap:
Wow! We had a wonderful morning praising God through song, sharing in the Lord's
Supper, and especially testifying to God's moving in people's lives! Pastor Joe
Mason opened his pulpit to me and I am very grateful that this Sunday worked out for
Amy and I to visit Kingsway Christian.
I got to sing quite a bit, opening with Spotlight (and I have yet to play it right
live...this time my effects pedal's looping page inexplicably shut off right before
I got to the guitar solo...totally threw me off...grrr), almost bawling while
singing Fall Upon Me, and leading the congregation in my new favorite chorus:
Amazing Grace/My Chains are Gone! Then Pastor Joe took prayer requests and a few
folks stood to testify about what miraculous things God is doing. Wow! What a blessing
it was to hear of people being healed and delivered!! I'm sure that anything I said
after that was anticlimactic (I got to preach and I kept it short), but thanks to
all for sticking with me and listening politely.
Huge thanks to Pastor Joe Mason for inviting us to come. Also thanks to Bruce Tirrel
(Amy's co-worker) for keeping the ball rolling, and thanks to the entire
congregation at Kingsway for treating us so graciously. We are praying for the
future of your church building and the future of your congregation!
